Fabindia is an Indian brand that has worked since 1962 to promote and safeguard traditional Indian crafts, by creating partnerships with artisan associations.

The Bandhani dyeing method (from the Sanskrit word Bandh meaning to tie) involves pinching the fabric and wrapping it with thread to create a reserve before dipping it in dye to create designs. It is a delicate art that requires great know-how.
